VILLA TERMS OF SERVICE
These terms and conditions, which can be changed over time, are intended for guests of Maison Gaia. By utilizing our website or any of our applications on various platforms, and/or by finalizing a reservation, you implicitly acknowledge and consent to having perused, comprehended, and accepted the terms and conditions outlined below.
BOOKING
Full payment in advance is mandatory for all bookings. A booking will only be considered confirmed upon the provision of necessary details and payment for Maison Gaia.
Maison Gaia strives to accommodate any customer request for changes to booking details (if reasonable).
Guests are prohibited from reselling or transferring any part of a booking. Maison Gaia retains the right to cancel any booking if there are reasonable grounds to suspect a breach of this clause by the guest.
CHARGES
The prices shown on the website are subject to variation based on factors such as the number of guests will be detailed during the checkout process. A minimum stay of 3 nights is required unless explicitly stated in special promotions. After selecting a rate on the website, the total cost for your intended stay will be presented in the reservation summary. All prices will be charged in the local currency of Maison Gaia.
CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT REQUIREMENTS
To enhance security measures and mitigate the risk of fraud, guests may be obligated to show copies of passports & flight confirmation before or at arrival. This information may be requested for each member of the party, and we retain the right to deny entry to individuals unable to provide the specified details.
Unless specified otherwise in the booking confirmation, guests have the option for self-check-in at any time starting from 15:00 PM on the scheduled day of arrival, early/late check-ins are possible upon request which may be subject to a fee.
Guests will be greeted by staff upon check-in at the villa, who will introduce the guests to all amenities and house rules. Staff can also greet at the airport, subject to fee.
As your stay concludes, we kindly request that all guests vacate their villas by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Extended check-out times may be accommodated with prior arrangements, incurring an additional charge and contingent upon availability. In the absence of such a prior agreement, Maison Gaia retains the right to apply an extra night’s accommodation charge at the standard rate for the occupied villa if a guest fails to check out by the specified time.
The Villa is subject to a maximum occupancy of 10 Guests with a maximum of 8 Adults and 2 children.
PAYMENT
Upon reservation, we will process the accommodation charges (villa rate and any applicable service charges) for the entire duration of your stay and will send an invoice using Stripe to the email used during checkout. Maison Gaia has the right to cancel any booking requests that are not deemed appropriate or a good fit, or if guests fail to pay the invoice.
It should also be noted that an extra small Tourism & Environment levy (SCR 25) per person, per day, needs to be paid to staff upon arrival.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations made more than 30 days before the check-in date are eligible for a full refund, with a deduction of a 3% administrative charge. Reservations canceled over a week before booking are subject to a 50% refund. Reservations canceled with less than 7 days notice are non-refundable.
If the customer fails to provide adequate cancellation notice or does not show up at the Maison Gaia, the entire booking will be considered canceled, and the full payment for the original reservation remains due.
Maison Gaia also reserves the right to cancel the booking without any liability if the information provided by the customer regarding the booking is found to be misleading or false, such as misrepresentation of the identity of any guest or the purpose of the stay.
In rare instances, there may be a need to cancel your booking. In such cases, a full refund will be provided, and we will not have any additional liability to you arising from such cancellation.
GUEST BEHAVIOR
Guests are kindly urged to maintain appropriate behavior and adhere to the established procedures and/or requests of Maison Gaia concerning conduct, as well as respect for the property, its staff, and their health and safety. We retain the right to decline accommodation or services or to ask you and members of your party to leave Maison Gaia if, in our reasonable judgment, we determine a breach of this provision. In such instances, Maison Gaia is not obligated to provide a refund for lost accommodation, other services, or any associated losses or expenses.
NO OUTSIDE GUESTS
The Villa will only be occupied only by the people registered to stay at the villa. No outside guests are allowed.
NO SMOKING + NO PETS
Smoking, including vaping or any other substance, is strictly prohibited inside villas. Maison Gaia retains the right to impose a cleaning fee if it is confirmed that smoking has occurred inside the villa. Additionally, no pets are permitted on the property.
NO DISCRIMINATION
It is the policy of Maison Gaia not to discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or sexual orientation. We believe that we have a duty to our guests to protect them from inappropriate behavior. Guests are expected to adhere to this policy and Maison Gaia may, without incurring any liability to the Guest, immediately remove from the property any person(s) offending against this policy. Should any actions by a Guest be deemed inappropriate by Maison Gaia, or if any inappropriate behavior is brought to the attention of Maison Gaia, we reserve the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action against the Guest.
CARE AND USE OF PROPERTY
Guests are kindly requested to leave the villa in a well-maintained condition. Maison Gaia has 8 outside security cameras mounted clearly on the outside of the villas. Guests may not tamper with, remove, or disable any of the cameras.
DAMAGE
Maison Gaia retains the right, and you hereby grant us authorization, to charge your guests for any damages to the property that you or your party have incurred during your stay, including but not limited to specialist cleaning, or for any missing items upon your departure. An invoice detailing the charges will be sent to the email address provided during the booking.
PARKING
Maison Gaia provides designated on-site parking. It is important to note that cars and their contents are left at the owner’s or guest’s own risk. We do not assume responsibility for any loss or damage, regardless of the cause.
FORCE MAJEURE
Maison Gaia is not liable and does not provide compensation in cases where it is unable to fulfill its obligations due to events beyond its control, such as force majeure or circumstances outside its reasonable influence. These events may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, extreme weather conditions, acts of God, terrorism, fires, or utility service failures. In such instances, Maison Gaia may, at its discretion, offer the option to reschedule for different dates, subject to availability.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Maison Gaia will not be responsible for the loss or damage of property left at the property.
Maison Gaia is not responsible for any indirect, consequential, or purely economic losses, including the loss of profit, goodwill, or opportunities, whether resulting from the negligence of Maison Gaia, its employees, contractors, or agents, or otherwise.
The overall liability of Maison Gaia is limited to the total charges received under the Agreement. It’s important to note that nothing in the Agreement should be interpreted as excluding liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Maison Gaia, or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
WEBSITE INFORMATION
